A great guide on how to build and repair your own cycle wheels – essential for any Roger Musson’s book on the other hand is more informative and up to date .

Wheelbuilding I second this one- I turn on the laptop and look at the instructions as I go along- color coded and idiot-proof.
I built up four more wheelsets after, but I always use this book because I’m know building wheels all the time.

I’ll put in a good word for Jobst Brandt’s book too. Since then, I have retrued it a couple of times as it is a light rim, unlike myself. Pages with related products.
An additional plus if you have access to basic wood working tools, his book mussson full plans to build your own VERY SOLID truing stand and other wheel building tools for cheap. Hey Mike, don’t let being mentioned with this crowd go booo your head, OK?
Get’s right to the point and is very clear. My favorite part of the book is when the author mentions stress-relief and setting the spokes. Roger Musson’s book on the other hand is more informative and up to date. Eddy Chandra marked it as to-read Dec 08, That really doesn’t effect much of substance, but depending on what you are trying to build and understand, it might feel like they aren’t speaking to the interests of the performance-oriented road rider.
