However, this was an amazingly tense thriller; a violent maybe too extreme for some readers page-turner of the highest order. In a wasteland born of rage and fear, populated by monstrous creatures and marauding armies, earth’s last survivors have been drawn into the final battle between good and evil, that will decide the fate of humanity.
This is not all that clever, although there are twists and turns and surprises. Unfortunately, his boat conks out, so he ends-up having to row the rest of the way, and he’s unprepared for the nightmare he finds, when he finally gets home.
The inhabitants of the chopper are men that the government has conducted experiments on to create the perfect super soldier and these men were not from a desirable place to begin with.
A classified secret weapon programmed to kill anything that stands in its way. Afraid is certainly not for the faint of heart. At the end of this book is this “About the Author” blurb I suppose I could say that the good news is there are no typos.
The plot was unique in this one and the narrator did a descent job. Doesn’t Sal know that eating late at night is bad for his heartburn? Not sure why books like this are typically categorised as Horror.
One of these characters was put through so much physical torture in particular it was just unrealistic though – from beginning to end I was just praying for this guy’s misery to end! Jacj only thing that kept me listening was the narrator, who kept things lively and made the personalities of the antagonists distinctive and entertaining. Jack Kilborn is pen name for writer J. As it turns out the author did an amazing job in fixing these characters in my mind and as I learned to get to know them and invest in them emotionally the story started to unfold.

Now days, I find myself covering my eyes or turning my head away. Who’s going to win the towns, impromptu lottery, that’s being held at the Gymnasium, Junior High? I really cared about the characters and was rooting for the small group of people and scene-stealing Woof fighting the evil that had come to their town.
There are so many things Kilborn does right in terms of craft. Both sides of that coin get equal billing here.

Then she hears her husband’s boat driving up. These bad guys seem to fit into archetypes that I’ve seen from american entertainment but they’re not scary to me they seem to unreal I don’t understand afgaid rather than fear it.
